Worked under the Dispatch organization for the Optix application. The application catered to center agents to dispatch out technicians for various kinds of install and maintenance orders.
Delivered key functionalities that include:
Skill Based Warnings - Developed and delivered an alert message for center agents when trying to assign jobs to technicians who do not possess the right skills. The earlier mechanism was done purely using the available hours, but with the introduction of a skill based warning, the number of bad assignments and reassignments were greatly reduced and this helped in saving truck roll cost as well as improved customer satisfaction. Increased the overall flow through by ~2%.
Job Alerts - Developed job alerts for specific high priority jobs that need immediate action from the center agents. This helped in closing out the jobs faster as well as improving the overall technician efficiency and customer satisfaction.
SMS Based Communication to Technicians and Supervisors - Delivered a feature to communicate with technicians and supervisors. The SMS would be sent based on the different stages of the job. This replaced the earlier mechanism of technicians calling the center and asking them to inform their supervisors of the job status.
